Station 2: Active Science Laboratory
Active Lab - Chemistry, Physics or Biology
The laboratory is one of the most exciting parts of the center — a place where science comes to life. Here, students get to roll up their sleeves and try real experiments in chemistry, physics, and biology. Each activity is chosen to fit their age and interests, so everyone can enjoy, explore, and discover. With real lab tools in their hands, students watch, test, and learn by doing — connecting what they study in school with real-life science.
Chemistry Fun
In chemistry, students become young chemists, mixing safe materials to see colors change, bubbles form, or crystals grow. One of the highlights is the “Chemical Garden” experiment, inspired by astronaut Ilan Ramon’s space research on the Columbia shuttle. While he tested how crystals grow without gravity, students here can recreate the experiment on Earth and discover how crystals form step by step.
Physics in Action
In physics, students explore how the world works. They play with light to create rainbows, build simple circuits to make bulbs shine, test magnets, or experiment with motion by rolling objects and watching how they move. These activities turn big ideas like force, energy, and motion into fun discoveries.
Biology Discoveries
In biology, students dive into the living world. They look at cells under a microscope, see how plants use sunlight to make food, and explore the amazing systems of the human body. Every experiment opens a window into the beauty and complexity of life around us.
The Active Science Laboratory is all about curiosity and discovery. It’s a place where learning is exciting, hands-on, and unforgettable — showing students that science isn’t just in textbooks, it’s all around them.
