Lava Lamp Experiment: Create Your Own Colorful Chemistry Show

Lava Lamp Experiment

Lava Lamp Experiment

Lava Lamp Experiment Workshop

What if you could build your own lava lamp in class?
In our hands-on workshop, The Lava Lamp Experiment, you’ll watch colorful blobs float up and down, just like a real lamp from the ’70s.

 During the experiment, you will:

  • Explore how oil and water don’t mix.

  • Watch bubbles carry droplets through layers of liquid.

  • Learn how density and chemical reactions create amazing motion.

This phenomenon happens because oil and water are immiscible (they don’t mix), and they have different densities. When an effervescent tablet reacts with water, it produces carbon dioxide gas, which makes droplets rise and fall in a cycle.

The workshop is fun – colorful – educational, perfect for students who love combining science with creativity.

 Don’t miss it!

Join us and see chemistry turn into a real-life lava lamp show.
